Organizational Background

Vivery Community is a Chicago-based nonprofit founded in 2021, driven by a belief that everyone deserves access to nutritious food and the support they need to thrive. Since then, we have grown into a leading food equity organization, bringing together healthcare providers, community organizations, charitable food providers, government agencies, and local leaders to address food insecurity across Chicago’s South and West Sides — delivering nutritious food directly to people facing the greatest barriers to access. To date, we have delivered more than 365,000 meals, and this year we are reaching more than 600 households across 24 communities.
